Kansas State announces 2012 football schedule

14 Feb

The Wildcats’ reward for a 10-2 season and Cotton Bowl berth is a schedule that is as grueling as ever, if not more so. Of 12 opponents, 8 were bowl-eligible in 2011. Kansas State begins Big 12 play with a road game at Oklahoma and has a bye week following that. The first home game of the conference season will be against Kansas.

After going on the road against Iowa State and new Big 12 member West Virginia, the Wildcats will be home for two weeks to face Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.

That game against Texas Tech will begin a stretch during which Kansas State will face four Texas schools in a span of five games. After Oklahoma State, the Wildcats go back on the road and play newcomer TCU and then Baylor.

Following a second bye week, Kansas State ends its season with a home game against Texas.

For the schedule in easily digestible, plan-what-weekend-you’re-taking-off-work form, here is the list from K-State Sports.
